The federal government today relieved Ibrahim Lamborde of
his duties as the chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
replacing him with a top level official of the commission named Ibrahim magu.
According to reports, Magu has been known as a no-nonsense investigator since the
inception of the commission. Also, reasons behind the removal has not been
stated but reports has it that, it could have generated from the allegations of
the embezzlement of over N1 trillion of the loots recovered from corrupt government
officials.
